# SmartHQ vs Twisted FLX

The clearest difference is ads: Twisted FLX at none against SmartHQ's shown. Twisted FLX also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). SmartHQ's advantage is ratings volume (89K vs 16) and chart position (#80 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Twisted FLX holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartHQ has 89K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SmartHQ ships an update every 4 weeks, Twisted FLX every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
