# Square vs Sysco Shop

Square and Sysco Shop both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 48% of Sysco Shop's written reviews are positive against 25% of Square's. Sysco Shop also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (17K vs 3.4K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Square against 4.7 for Sysco Shop. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sysco Shop has 17K ratings behind it against 3.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 25% of Square's written reviews are positive against 48% of Sysco Shop's.

Square ships an update weekly, Sysco Shop fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
