# Square vs Cleantie

Square and Cleantie both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Cleantie's written reviews are positive against 26% of Square's. Cleantie also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.1). Square's advantage is ratings volume (3.6K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cleantie holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Square has 3.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 26% of Square's written reviews are positive against 100% of Cleantie's.

Square ships an update weekly, Cleantie monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
