# Square vs Kintow

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Kintow at 100% against Square's 25%. Kintow also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Square's advantage is ratings volume (3.5K vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kintow holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Square has 3.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 25% of Square's written reviews are positive against 100% of Kintow's.

Square ships an update weekly, Kintow fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
