# MyDyson™ vs Aplika

The clearest difference is monetization model: MyDyson™ at free with in-app purchases against Aplika's subscription. MyDyson™ also leads on ratings volume (36K vs 4) and chart position (#88 vs unranked). Aplika's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Aplika holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyDyson™ has 36K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MyDyson™ ships an update fortnightly, Aplika every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
