# Redacted vs I Need That Widget

Redacted and I Need That Widget both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of I Need That Widget's written reviews are positive against 20% of Redacted's. I Need That Widget also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 64 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). Redacted's advantage is price ($0.29 vs $2.49) and device support (3 vs 1). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Redacted costs $0.29 and I Need That Widget $2.49 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Redacted holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: I Need That Widget has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Redacted's written reviews are positive against 100% of I Need That Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Redacted ships an update every 64 months, I Need That Widget every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
