# Speedometer ⁺ vs custometer

The clearest difference is rating: custometer at 5.0 against Speedometer ⁺'s 4.3. custometer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). Speedometer ⁺'s advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 2). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

custometer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer ⁺ has 2K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 60% and 60% positive.

Speedometer ⁺ ships an update every 5 months, custometer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
