# Homework Tracker vs Grade Control

Homework Tracker and Grade Control both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of Homework Tracker's written reviews are positive against 30% of Grade Control's. Homework Tracker also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Grade Control's advantage is ratings volume (494 vs 7) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Homework Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.69 per month and Grade Control sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Grade Control holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grade Control has 494 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Homework Tracker's written reviews are positive against 30% of Grade Control's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Homework Tracker ships an update every 2 months, Grade Control monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
