# Homework Tracker vs Assignment Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Assignment Tracker at 4.7 against Homework Tracker's 4.0. Assignment Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (90 vs 7). Homework Tracker's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 29%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Homework Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.69 per month and Assignment Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Assignment Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Assignment Tracker has 90 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Homework Tracker's written reviews are positive against 29% of Assignment Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Homework Tracker ships an update every 2 months, Assignment Tracker every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
