# Living Scriptures vs GetOut

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GetOut at none against Living Scriptures's 8. GetOut also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Living Scriptures's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 1K). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Living Scriptures sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. GetOut asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Living Scriptures against 4.6 for GetOut. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Living Scriptures has 10K ratings behind it against 1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of Living Scriptures's written reviews are positive against 45% of GetOut's.

Living Scriptures ships an update monthly, GetOut every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
