# Living Scriptures vs BRAVE+

The clearest difference is monetization model: Living Scriptures at free with in-app purchases against BRAVE+'s subscription. Living Scriptures also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 460) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). BRAVE+'s advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 48%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Living Scriptures sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and BRAVE+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Living Scriptures holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Living Scriptures has 10K ratings behind it against 460, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Living Scriptures's written reviews are positive against 58% of BRAVE+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
