# Satellite Pointer vs Satellite Tracker Pro

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Satellite Tracker Pro at none against Satellite Pointer's 1. Satellite Tracker Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (72% vs 38%). Satellite Pointer's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (3.3K vs 65). On price and rating there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Satellite Pointer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Satellite Tracker Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Satellite Pointer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Satellite Pointer has 3.3K ratings behind it against 65, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Satellite Pointer's written reviews are positive against 72% of Satellite Tracker Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Satellite Pointer ships an update monthly, Satellite Tracker Pro every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
