# Habitica vs CentralLoop

The clearest difference is rating: CentralLoop at 5.0 against Habitica's 4.3. CentralLoop also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Habitica's advantage is ratings volume (3.5K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Habitica sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. CentralLoop asks for nothing beyond the download.

CentralLoop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Habitica has 3.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
