# Pure Flix vs Active Voice

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Active Voice at 100% against Pure Flix's 41%. Active Voice also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Pure Flix's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 2) and chart position (#155 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pure Flix sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Active Voice asks for nothing beyond the download.

Active Voice holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pure Flix has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of Pure Flix's written reviews are positive against 100% of Active Voice's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
