# Pure Flix vs Screen Gallery

Pure Flix and Screen Gallery both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Screen Gallery's written reviews are positive against 41% of Pure Flix's. Screen Gallery also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). Pure Flix's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 2) and chart position (#159 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pure Flix sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $7.49 per month and Screen Gallery sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.95 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Pure Flix against 4.5 for Screen Gallery. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pure Flix has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 41% of Pure Flix's written reviews are positive against 100% of Screen Gallery's.

Pure Flix ships an update every 4 months, Screen Gallery every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
