# GPS History vs Shango

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Shango at 12.0 against GPS History's 17.6. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS History sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Shango sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GPS History ships an update every 6 days, Shango weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
