# DVP vs DJI Ronin

The clearest difference is rating: DJI Ronin at 4.7 against DVP's 3.0. DJI Ronin also leads on ratings volume (8.3K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). DVP's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 30%) and iOS requirement (8.4 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DJI Ronin holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI Ronin has 8.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of DVP's written reviews are positive against 30% of DJI Ronin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DVP ships an update every 5 months, DJI Ronin every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
