# DVP vs Sony | Creators' App

The clearest difference is rating: Sony | Creators' App at 3.9 against DVP's 3.0. Sony | Creators' App also leads on ratings volume (2.5K vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months). DVP's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sony | Creators' App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. DVP asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sony | Creators' App holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sony | Creators' App has 2.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of DVP's written reviews are positive against 22% of Sony | Creators' App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DVP ships an update every 5 months, Sony | Creators' App every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
