# MyUU vs ObsIdentify

The clearest difference is rating: MyUU at 5.0 against ObsIdentify's 2.0. MyUU also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). ObsIdentify's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyUU holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ObsIdentify has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MyUU ships an update every 3 months, ObsIdentify every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
