# Bonusly vs Trainual

The clearest difference is rating: Bonusly at 4.8 against Trainual's 3.7. Bonusly also leads on ratings volume (4.5K vs 51). Trainual's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and review sentiment (50% vs 39%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bonusly holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bonusly has 4.5K ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Bonusly's written reviews are positive against 50% of Trainual's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bonusly ships an update every 6 weeks, Trainual every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
