# BetterHelp vs CoreSpring®

The clearest difference is monetization model: CoreSpring® at free against BetterHelp's subscription. CoreSpring® also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). BetterHelp's advantage is ratings volume (150K vs 2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CoreSpring® holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BetterHelp has 150K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BetterHelp ships an update monthly, CoreSpring® every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
