# Contact Notes vs Quill

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Quill at 97% against Contact Notes's 0%. Quill also leads on ratings volume (23 vs 1) and device support. Contact Notes's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Contact Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Quill sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Contact Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quill has 23 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Contact Notes's written reviews are positive against 97% of Quill's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Contact Notes ships an update every 3 days, Quill fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
