# Pool Shot Timer vs BilliardManager

The clearest difference is rating: BilliardManager at 4.2 against Pool Shot Timer's 3.3. BilliardManager also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 27 months) and ratings volume (31 vs 3). Pool Shot Timer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BilliardManager sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Pool Shot Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

BilliardManager holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BilliardManager has 31 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Pool Shot Timer's written reviews are positive against 88% of BilliardManager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
