# CrossStitcher vs Luca

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Luca at none against CrossStitcher's 43. Luca also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6). CrossStitcher's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (258 vs 7). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CrossStitcher sells 43 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Luca asks for nothing beyond the download.

Luca holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CrossStitcher has 258 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.
