# Silky Socks vs Trusted Herd

The clearest difference is ads: Silky Socks at none against Trusted Herd's shown. Silky Socks also leads on review sentiment (87% vs 70%). Trusted Herd's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (14K vs 43). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Trusted Herd holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trusted Herd has 14K ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of Silky Socks's written reviews are positive against 70% of Trusted Herd's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Silky Socks ships an update every 9 days, Trusted Herd weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
