# Giraffe Evolution vs Hondo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Hondo at none against Giraffe Evolution's 10. Hondo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). Giraffe Evolution's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 1). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Giraffe Evolution sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Hondo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hondo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Giraffe Evolution has 3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Giraffe Evolution ships an update every 5 weeks, Hondo every 9 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
