# Spark Mail vs Contractor Level Up

The clearest difference is rating: Spark Mail at 4.6 against Contractor Level Up's 4.0. Spark Mail also leads on ratings volume (83K vs 4) and chart position (#97 vs unranked). Contractor Level Up's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 61%) and in-app purchases (none vs 17). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spark Mail sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Contractor Level Up asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spark Mail holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spark Mail has 83K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Spark Mail's written reviews are positive against 100% of Contractor Level Up's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spark Mail ships an update weekly, Contractor Level Up every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
