# InShot vs PicMov

The clearest difference is review sentiment: InShot at 86% against PicMov's 11%. InShot also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (2.5M vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InShot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and PicMov sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InShot holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InShot has 2.5M ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of InShot's written reviews are positive against 11% of PicMov's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
