# InShot vs Sway Motion slideshow maker

The clearest difference is ratings volume: InShot at 2.5M against Sway Motion slideshow maker's 17. InShot also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and chart position (#26 vs unranked). Sway Motion slideshow maker's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 86%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InShot sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Sway Motion slideshow maker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InShot holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InShot has 2.5M ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of InShot's written reviews are positive against 100% of Sway Motion slideshow maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

InShot ships an update every 2 weeks, Sway Motion slideshow maker every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
