# Genesis vs cosmic comic maker

The clearest difference is rating: Genesis at 3.9 against cosmic comic maker's 3.4. Genesis also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (281 vs 19). cosmic comic maker's advantage is review sentiment (69% vs 58%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Genesis sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and cosmic comic maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Genesis holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Genesis has 281 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Genesis's written reviews are positive against 69% of cosmic comic maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Genesis ships an update every 3 weeks, cosmic comic maker every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
