# Video Compress vs Clear Status

The clearest difference is ads: Clear Status at none against Video Compress's shown. Clear Status also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (61% vs 43%). Video Compress's advantage is ratings volume (3.7K vs 243). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Compress sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Clear Status sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.09 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Video Compress against 4.7 for Clear Status. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Compress has 3.7K ratings behind it against 243, so its average is the more settled of the two.
