# Video Compress vs Video Compressor

The clearest difference is rating: Video Compress at 4.7 against Video Compressor's 3.2. Video Compress also leads on ratings volume (3.7K vs 11) and review sentiment (43% vs 33%). Video Compressor's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Compress sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Video Compressor sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Video Compress holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Compress has 3.7K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 43% of Video Compress's written reviews are positive against 33% of Video Compressor's.

Video Compress ships an update every 6 weeks, Video Compressor fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
