# Rul3r vs EC Ruler

The clearest difference is review sentiment: EC Ruler at 100% against Rul3r's 45%. EC Ruler also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). Rul3r's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 1). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rul3r sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. EC Ruler asks for nothing beyond the download.

Rul3r holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rul3r has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Rul3r's written reviews are positive against 100% of EC Ruler's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
