# SCE DR Alerts vs SunStrong Connect

The clearest difference is rating: SunStrong Connect at 4.4 against SCE DR Alerts's 3.1. SunStrong Connect also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (15K vs 41). SCE DR Alerts's advantage is review sentiment (32% vs 12%) and iOS requirement (13.1 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SunStrong Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SunStrong Connect has 15K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of SCE DR Alerts's written reviews are positive against 12% of SunStrong Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SCE DR Alerts ships an update every 6 months, SunStrong Connect every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
