# SOSRemoteTouch vs StarEV

The clearest difference is update cadence: StarEV at every 10 days against SOSRemoteTouch's every 2 months. StarEV also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SOSRemoteTouch ships an update every 2 months, StarEV every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
