# BoxBoard vs Kreuzheben

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BoxBoard at none against Kreuzheben's 1. Kreuzheben's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kreuzheben sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. BoxBoard asks for nothing beyond the download.

BoxBoard ships an update every 6 months, Kreuzheben every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
