# MasterCook vs Cooking Recipe Master

The clearest difference is rating: MasterCook at 5.0 against Cooking Recipe Master's 3.0. Cooking Recipe Master's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (50% vs 32%). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MasterCook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Cooking Recipe Master asks for nothing beyond the download.

MasterCook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of MasterCook's written reviews are positive against 50% of Cooking Recipe Master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
