# DatChat vs Parler

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DatChat at 91% against Parler's 44%. DatChat also leads on rating (4.8 vs 3.9) and ads (none vs shown). Parler's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DatChat sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Parler sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DatChat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DatChat has 943 ratings behind it against 175, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 91% of DatChat's written reviews are positive against 44% of Parler's.

DatChat ships an update every 9 days, Parler every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
