# VidAngel vs BRAVE+

The clearest difference is rating: VidAngel at 4.9 against BRAVE+'s 4.5. VidAngel also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and ratings volume (5.9K vs 520). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VidAngel sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and BRAVE+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VidAngel holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VidAngel has 5.9K ratings behind it against 520, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of VidAngel's written reviews are positive against 58% of BRAVE+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VidAngel ships an update weekly, BRAVE+ monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
