# VidAngel vs Papa’s App

VidAngel and Papa’s App both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Papa’s App's written reviews are positive against 54% of VidAngel's. Papa’s App also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (daily vs weekly). VidAngel's advantage is ratings volume (5.9K vs 1) and chart position (#123 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VidAngel sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Papa’s App sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for VidAngel against 5.0 for Papa’s App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VidAngel has 5.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
