# POSTIDENT vs MACH1

The clearest difference is update cadence: MACH1 at every 2 weeks against POSTIDENT's every 6 weeks. MACH1 also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

POSTIDENT ships an update every 6 weeks, MACH1 every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 13, 2026 respectively.
