From John

All of my apps are NOT working, please fix. I have been a client for years.

Fixed, thank you. This app keep you astute.

Response from developer

Hello, the apps are back online this morning. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Ok

They give you crappy stocks to trade and expect a profit?

Unreliable company

The développer of this family of apps practices quite dubious business ethics. I had paid good money for the non pro versions of the apps, and they removed support for them. I am not going to pay again, twice the price, to upgrade to pro versions, particularly with the perspective the dev will some day remove them as well again without bothering to provide his customers with a discounted upgrade price! Do yourself a favor: stay away from “Missing Step”, where the key word goes “Missing”!

Response from developer

None of that is true. Nobody had to pay twice, and no one lost their paid access. The transition from old to new apps that you're talking about (which, by the way, was over 6 years ago) was a one time process, and anyone that paid for the old versions had their access transferred to the new versions. All users were notified about this on multiple occasions through email, push notification, and in-app message. You may contact our support team at support@missingstep.com

FAQ

What is 1 Stock a Day?

1 Stock a Day is a stock trading simulation app where users make predictions on stocks and contribute to community signals. The app creates a scorecard for each user, and their score improves with accurate predictions, influencing their opinion's weight in the community signal.

How does the trading game work?

After a stock is posted, you have 5 trading days to enter a trade. You must close the trade within the following 5 trading days. Your position will be automatically closed if it remains open. Once closed, the trade data is added to your Score Card.

How is the community signal generated?

The community signal is powered by user predictions and trading performance. The more accurate your predictions are, the better your score gets. The community signals then weigh the opinions of successful traders more heavily, making the signals more accurate as more people use the app.

What are the rules for trading?

You have 5 trading days to enter a trade after a stock is posted. If you don't trade, you won't see the community signal. You cannot trade the same stock multiple times. Trades must be closed within 5 trading days, or they will be automatically closed. You need at least 5 closed trades for your score to be calculated.

Is this app free to use?

Yes, the application is free to use. There are no in-app purchases or advertisements mentioned in the provided description, suggesting a completely free experience for users.
