I love this app as simple to use and as I listen to the word the voice is pleasant to hear

This app is way better than I expected. A friend at church was handing out business cards that advertised the app so I installed it to see what it was like. I had no idea it had audio so that was a plus. But when I started listening, it was like listening to a play. All the Bible characters are “played” by a different voice and there’s background noises, crowds, etc. The Bible has come alive for me in a whole different way. I listen to it at night in bed before I fall asleep. Sometimes it’s soothing, but sometimes it’s like watching an exciting action movie and I think about it for awhile before I can fall asleep! 😄 I never write reviews, but I love this app! Update: This app won’t play on my iPad anymore. I get a screen that says “No content available”. I can still use it on my iPhone and it works great. I’ve tried reinstalling it twice with no luck on the iPad.
Another update: Many Bible versions show in the available list, but most of them say “Forbidden” when you choose them. Maybe just don’t show them in the list if you aren’t really going to offer them. I even tried looking for a place to upgrade by paying, but there’s no place to do that. I’m now disappointed because I really want to use the NSV. I’ll probably just go back to my regular Bible for daily reading.

Listening is fantastic
There’s a lot of dead time throughout the day, and being able to fill it by listening to the word is an excellent use of time.
Early review
I haven’t fully explored the app but it has been adequate for what I have needed. I love it that God’s Word is as near as my phone.

I love using the Fijian language Gideon Bible on audio. I can just let it play while doing things around the house…am a stay-at-home mum.

Awesome App!!
This app is amazing! And it's free! Not only do you have the Bible at your fingertips but you can also listen to the scripture being read. Plus there are other features such as verse listings for various subjects. So far, it is the best Bible app that I've used It is evident that a lot of work and love was put into this app, and I for one appreciate it very much. I use it daily for my morning time with God. Thank you, Gideons, for all your work for the Lord, and for this app! God bless you!

I really like and appreciate the Gideon Bible App, however
, it has a glitch that is very annoying and I’ve almost deleted the app but I’d like to patiently wait for a fix to the problem. Many times when I’m in my vehicle or anywhere, I plug my phone into power, or when it connects to my vehicle, it automatically starts playing. It’s very frustrating when I have other things going on conversations or using my other phone. And trying to get it turned off when I’m driving. It’s quite a distractor and a danger when driving.
Please tell me there is a fix for this. It is not my settings. Or my vehicle Bluetooth.
