Description of Jumble Jamble

Jumble Jamble brings a new twist to word jumbles! With three different game modes to choose from - get ready to put your word jumble puzzle skills to the test! A great app to improve your Scrabble, Boggle, or Words With Friends abilities, it's also a great quick time killer app - as all the games can be played in just a minute or two! In '3 Up' you'll start with three jumbled letters you need to unscramble. After each unscrambled word you find you'll reveal a new letter. Race against the clock to see how quickly you can add letters up until you unscramble a seven letter word. '7 Down' gives you the opposite task. You'll start by unscrambling a seven letter word and have to work your way down to a three letter word. But there's a catch! Each time you don't use a letter - that letter becomes blacked out for you for the rest of the round, so choose wisely! Blitz mode is a race against the clock for points. As the timer ticks away more and more letters are revealed. Continue making as many words as you can (three letters or longer) until time runs out. Longer words are worth more points (obviously) and there is ALWAYS a way to make a word using all available letters. See if you have what it takes to sit atop the Game Center blitz leaderboard! Jumble Jamble is also a great way to build kid's literacy skills in a fun and engaging way. Whether you're looking for an educational app for you child to play on a car trip or at a restaurant, or you're a teacher looking for an enrichment app for students who finish their work early, Jumble Jamble is a great opportunity for them to use their spelling and vocabulary skills in a way that won't feel like 'learning.' Try it out! What have you got to lose... it's free!

Reviews of Jumble Jamble

  • Beautiful and thoughtful

Love the differences in gaming experience between the three modes. One small redeisgn would make this perfect in my mind - if the “randomize” button can be located away from the letter choices. As it is, moving my thumb to press that button would block the view of the letters. Every second counts!!
  • Frustrating

Blitz keeps crashing. I emailed Ross McNamara specifically but got no response; still crashes frequently. Please fix!
  • Too slow to select letters

The concept is great but it's not very responsive or the fasted method to select letters to make words so you really don't see much improvement in your scores over time. Also, lately it's not letting me submit correctly-spelled words. Not sure why...annoying!
