Not reliable unfortunately
We are heavily using the desktop version in our organization and I love it but the app version freezes and crashes most of the time.
Absolute Garbage
For a good 6 months this app has been on a downward spiral.
Most noticeably, when going from the background to the foreground with biometric protection enabled, the app just sits on a blank screen.
As well as that, the editor is just straight up non-functional when doing anything more complex than basic text editing.

Too buggy of late
I’ve been using this iOS app in connection with the browser-based app for about 3 years. Over the last 9 months, the iOS app has become so buggy, that I’m considering switching to Notion. I like to brainstorm on mobile, but page updates do not save consistently (serious formatting errors that require significant cleanup when back at the browser.) Just recently, the app stopped saving entirely on mobile. I’ve submitted bug reports, but haven’t heard anything back. Please Atlassian; I really want to like this!!

Glitchy
I was skeptical about downloading an iPad app for Confluence, but thought if Atlassian has 4.7 stars for this, it’s probably worth checking out. Unfortunately, the user experience does not match in-browser. As I was editing a page, I noticed at least three things that didn’t work right off the bat: typing in * for a bullet point doesn’t do anything, typing in ## for an H2 produces a bizarre experience where you wind up at the end of the document, and iOS autocomplete suggestions are not tabable. I went back to the browser and was able to do all of these without issue. I give it an extra star because it did feel a little less cluttered than using the browser, but the editing experience is not good enough.

Great App - Suggestion
Suggestion it would be nice to be able to view linked looms natively on the page without it shifting the the loom app/ browser.
What I mean is that Smart Link Items can work natively on the app! That would be great

No macOS-compatible app (even from an iPadOS app)? No ability to see local but unsaved data?
Atlassian,
As a multi-billion dollar-valued publicly-traded company in a new age of tech beyond SaaS and basic productivity tools that have been around for years (like Linear) or one or more decades (like Jira/Confluence, Slack, MS Office, Google Docs, etc.), can you please provide us with the below essentials to do our best work? 🙏
• 1) NATIVE MAC APP: A native macOS app so we’re not locked into or distracted by all of Chrome’s endless, overlapping, and disorganized windows and tabs?
• 2) CLOUD-SYNCED DRAFTS OF UNSAVED/UNPUBLISHED TEXT INPUTS: *Cloud-synced* drafts of documents, comments, Issue Descriptions, and other text-based input fields that **ALL USERS** are currently at risk of PERMANENTLY LOSING if before posting their draft they inadvertently do any of these very common things:
— (i) delete and reinstall the Confluence app such as to troubleshoot an issue, or
— (ii) upgrade to a new device, OR
— (iii) clear their cookies/history, or
— (iv) use an incognito browser and never finish posting their draft before manually closing the window (or having their computer or browser automatically close it when performing a weekly software update)

Virtually unusable on IPad
I have disliked the Confluence App from almost day one. I need to use it on the go, but the page formatting regularly gets corrupted, images take forever to show up and there is no obvious way to revert a page to the previous version like on the web version.
I really can’t recommend this app and the regular frustrations I have with it are leading me to look for alternatives.

Buggy as if they never even test it
This app is almost useless, it is so buggy. Just in the past few months they have managed to mess up editing numbered lists, especially if you add photos. I used to be able to create lists of instructions with photos, but now, adding photos completely breaks the list numbering, among other problems.
I’ve submitted lots of bug reports to Atlassian, but I’ve only got a response on a few very easy ones. They clearly do not spend enough money on developing this app. Beware if you are planning to use this in the field on your phone, you’ll be very frustrated.
