Was there no second draft?

Did no one check this before it was uploaded? There’s a spelling error on every page and even if you choose to be a guy it defaults most the text to a woman. There was a part that actually just went “(name)”

Disappointing

Read so many of these books but basic mistakes let it down.

At the beginning of the game, I started life as a female demon - a succubus. However later on I start getting referred to as a guy, with all preferences set as a heterosexual male, even though I’m still called a succubus (not incubus).

It’s a small but significant point; and beyond the spelling mistakes and bad grammar, it has thoroughly spoiled any enjoyment I might have gained in the game.

wow

i really tried to give this game a chance but the odds were stacked against it pretty hard after just the options indicating gender...

boy being something like "You flex your muscles" and girl being something like "You blow a kiss." i mean.....really?

Worse COG game yet

I know, I might seem like a Debby downer, but here's why:

CONS
The spelling is absolutely TERRIBLE! I've never had this kind of problem in a game, or if I did, I just ignored it. No big deal, right? Just a mistake. But that's not the case here. There are SO MANY spelling errors that it renders this game nearly unreadable.
On another note, the plot is just confusing. It doesn't explain what's going on. Just "pick a choice and go with it"
3, characters. They feel just "thrown in there" if that makes sense? They didn't feel developed. At all.
4, ROMANCE. This was my biggest problem. Why? Because the only romance options were FEMALE. So if I played as a female, your only romance options were female also. Made me very upset. (So basically, you can play as a straight male, or a lesbian)

Pros
The setting felt very dark and mysterious, I will give it that. Kind of like a "melancholy atomosphere"

Price. At least it's cheap.

Choices. While the story was linear, (VERY linear) I was happy to see that you could in fact reject the mother demon or whatever her name was. You could be a blood thirsty pig or a pacifist. Creation of your character I guess, in other words.

Short. For this game, that's a good thing. For other games? Not so much.

That's about all I got. I'll leave it up to you to decide to get it or not.

Cool

Cool game that I enjoyed playing.

Really good

Really good story and game mechanics but lots of small spelling errors

Very poorly written

I've read hundreds of CYOAs, and I typically enjoy even the roughest examples of the genre. That is not the case with "Demons". I had to force myself to finish reading this, even though I wanted nothing more than to stop after the first few pages. This is a truly awful CYOA. I don't usually write negative reviews, and I feel a bit guilty writing this one, but since it isn't free I feel it is my duty. It's just horribly written, plain and simple. It's lazy, rushed, filled with grammatical errors and obvious gaps in the story. This should never have been published, and certainly not with a price tag.

Interesting.

At first, I didn't know what the game was doing when I saw a couple grammar errors. And then when you die at the end or get possessed. It's only until I try to play as evil as possible in order to kill the demoness that try's to kill/possess you. I'm wondering... Is there more to the game???

Could have been so much more.

It starts well, with great writing and pacing. Then it hits the middle and feels written by someone else. It becomes riddled with bad spelling, grammar and unfinished ideas. And then it ends abruptly as if the author gave up. Just out of nowhere.

Stats don't feel like they make much difference.

I thought it was going to be really special based off the start.

Ehhhh...

The game wasn't entirely bad, but it wasn't good either. There's plenty of grammar errors and punctuation errors that really mess with the fluidity of the story.
