Overall I enjoy the game, but there are some issues
I’ve been playing this game for a few years and overall heaven enjoyed my experience. I tend to load up on the specialty home items that I like and then go back to use them at a later time. However some of the items that I have purchased in the past have mysteriously disappeared from my inventory. These are items I actually paid money for. But my biggest gripe is the voting system which seems to be questionable. When you go and look at some of the designs that are five stars, they have no coordinated look with mismatched colors or empty rooms and somehow score a perfect five. And out of curiosity I just went to look at the rankings and all of the top design values at least numbers one through 99 are all on level 204 which interestingly is also the top level of the accessories that you get when you hit a certain milestone. Interestingly, I wanted to see what other peoples designs looked like and one of the top three overall designers has received a 5.0 on most every single design that this person has done, which is over 3000 designs. The likelihood of that is zero. All of this is to say that while I think this game is entertaining, just don’t get caught up in the voting or the rankings because I think a lot of scores are fixed. Also, keep track of what items are in your inventory so that if they disappear, you can follow up to make sure you get a refund.

Need more homes with rooms to design.
Have finished all the homes in that section. And from many people’s comments, they’ve been waiting for new homes for the longest time. On the DH Facebook page, the team replied to someone’s comment saying they don’t have any info about an upcoming home for people to enter.
I think it take away the initiative to enter challengers because we’re collecting house points for nothing. There were many times I’d enter more challenges just so I could make up the house points to enter.
Plus the extra diamonds from entering, the money & the XP to advance in levels. You take away that, then there’s just not a lot to play for.

Disappointed
I would normally have given this game five stars because I love it and have been playing for years . I was playing on an old iPad model that became outdated so I had to stop playing. That account had gotten to level 18 and was linked to a Facebook account. Recently I replaced my iPad and started to play again and linked my acccount to my apple account assuming that when I deleted the app from my old iPad I lost everything. I began to play and add items to my inventory and more importantly spend cash money on design packages and diamonds. I spent a pretty penny in a short time but didn’t min because I was having fun. I saw the option to borrow items and decided to save some money and link my account to Facebook again. When I did so it pulled up my old account which was great but I quickly realized the two accounts weren’t linked. I sent a request to have my new inventory, cash, and diamonds transferred to the old account I assumed was gone after so much time and they told me it wasn’t possible. HOW?! The game literally has a challenge that allows you to turn in unused inventory for its cash value but you can transfer items and cash that I paid for? It took days to gets a response and there was no offer to provide a lump sum or anything. I don’t think my request was unreasonable I just want my items. So now I have to re purchase them. My money has been wasted. Love the game but hate the policy especially for something that seems like a simple fix.

Fun to play
Really enjoy designing rooms but wish there was more understanding of what the design categories are. Some get great points and are not close to the brief. Also wish that one’s inventory was in alphabetical order by designer as it would be easy to find items necessary for challenges. Really enjoy scenery and room layout. I don’t spend money on games so sometimes are without diamonds when needing to buy items, especially floor rugs etc. Do enjoy seeing designs of others.

App glitches at times
I have truly enjoyed using this app as home decorating is really something I love. but lately, the app has been losing connection a lot and glitching. An item I had received as a prize would not show up on the screen when I selected to use it. I tried it several times and in one of my design entries, it completely eliminated my ability to even use another item in it’s place. It was a floor plant. Finally after several days, I was able to use it. Then today I see I was double charged for a purchase I was making when the app glitched again. I did see I was double charged but did not receive double the purchase, so I did request a refund. Sometimes it loses connection so often that I have to keep refreshing the app even though my WiFi is working perfectly on all other apps and functions. That becomes frustrating, especially when you’re voting and you only need 1 more vote to finish a voting series and it loses connection , making you start all over again and losing the 3 or 4 votes you had already cast. The only other thing that i don’t like is when a design challenge requires items that are so expensive, I just don’t enter them. I guess that’s how they hook you to spend more money, but that just turns me off from spending more. I try to use my money as efficiently as possible. For now, I enjoy the game enough to make it worth it, but eventually, I might just quit. But it is a lot of fun!!!

An expensive money pit
I have been playing the game for a few years and used to really enjoy it. But recently it is becoming more and more difficult to get a 5 star design without buying the decor or furniture bundles. It was ok when these bundles came around every few months but now it is every week and to get a decent score you are constantly needing to pay real world money more and more for these bundles. The daily 500 diamond rewards doesn’t even stretch to a pot plant let alone a carpet or a sofa so to be able to complete the challenges you have to spend more real world money to buy diamonds. Even the cash furniture is way more expensive than it used to be… so again you need to spend real world money to advance. The game is one big money pit and all my enjoyment has been sucked out of it. I have decided to quit because it is just too expensive and I can’t afford it anymore

I have already recommended this game to all my friends and family, who downloaded and also said it was amazing! The reason I gave 4 stars (even though I really wanted to give 5) is because I just have a few issues... 1), it is SOOO hard to earn cash if you are broke. I have been at a stand still because I only have like, $749, and I can’t buy any required furniture in challenges, meaning I can’t earn more cash. Please make a way to earn cash!!! 2), I have to buy my prize?!!??!?!? Like, what the heck?! After completing a few challenges, I scroll to collect my prize, but it says I have to buy it for an unbelievably large amount of diamonds: 7,000 to be exact. I met the challenge, meaning I should rightfully get my prize for free like everyone else!!!!! 3), It is hard to earn anything in general! Whether it’s some $$$ or furniture, diamonds or daily challenge points, it’s almost impossible!!! 4) the challenges are getting VERY boring. Like, wow, ANOTHER living room 🙄. Also, table art/walk art options are... weird. I didn’t mean to rant, but o just wanted to let y’all know what might happen if you download!

TOTALLY ADDICTING
Listen, I don’t know what else to say except if you enjoy home decorating each season and for the holidays or if you’re a home stager, interior decorator or real estate agent you are going to LOVE this game. I’ve already gotten so many fresh ideas for my own homes. I do have some suggestions for the app. It would be more conducive, if there were separate options at the beginning of the game for players to decide if they want to be either a judge or a decorator. If they decide to be a judge then they can still have decorating fun in the personal home section and be rewarded with items based upon how often and fairly they judge others. I don’t mind designing and judging but I wonder how many times the player to player judging is actually fair. Ppl have different tastes and what I find appealing others may not. I have invested a lot of money into this game and it bothers me when another player misjudges someones work. I follow the challenge instructions as closely as possible. But I’ve noticed that other players have a type of color scheme and pattern that they tend to like more and no matter how fancy or accurate your room to the challenge—if it doesn’t fit into their color expectations you miss the 5 star mark. Other than the player to player judging—the game is absolutely outstanding and will definitely appeal to those who love to decorate.

Great fun, but some minor issues
I’ve been playing with this app for years and really enjoy it. I don’t mind dropping a few $ here and there for some of the new fun bundles because I look at it the same as any other money I spend on entertainment. I have some suggestions though: 1) some of the accessories are wildly out of proportion to room/furniture sizes. Like a floor decor vase that is supposed to sit beside an accent chair, should not look bigger than every chair. 2) some room challenges require a certain brand or style of furniture that has no options that match the decor of that room. Like for example, there will be a room that’s a very glitzy glam setting but the furniture requirement is some brand that specializes in rustic. 3) more pillows that are not “limited” please! Also, the white pillows that are not “limited” look grey, not white. Yuck. 4) this one is huge: better categorization. Please please add a style or theme category for “holiday”. I waste so much time scrolling through my inventory looking for specific items that I still have from prior year holidays. I would also love it if the wall art was categorized by more than just color. Especially kids art. I’d love to be able to filter out kids art when I’m working on a nursery.

Money Grabbing Scheme
A beautiful illusion designed to entice you into opening your wallet for little to nothing in return. The “products” that you pay for are taken away from you after just 5 uses, whilst your real world money is forever stored in the pockets of the scammers… I mean developers. Of course, this is not made apparent to you until after your purchase. The daily challenge is strategically arranged to have a niche colour scheme that specifically pairs with the limited time promotion items. These temporary items are spoon fed to you for an easy high score to convince you (or anyone else) that if you empty your pockets, you are an accomplished and talented interior decorator.
