It was an old app before the most recent update, but not particularly bad, and now it’s one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. It autoplays obtrusive audio of off-screen ads even if my phone is on silent, you can’t swipe to go back on pages, and even though every page is riddled with ads it pops up and locks the app for 5-10 seconds to display ANOTHER ad every 2-3 stories. The dizzying autoscroll it performs when you navigate back to the home screen is actually the worst UI design I’ve ever experienced in person.
In an age where anyone with $100 can pay someone to design an app which is better than this, this stands as an empirical example of American hubris and poor taste.

Don’t like it. Go back to the previous format.
No news, just ads
After the upgrade, ads pop up before each story and several times during a story. Not worth it.
Update is lacking
Ever since the update, it always shows there is new information to review. None of the links in contact is work.

Notification alert on app
Unable to remove the red dot notice. Unlike ALL of my other apps I cannot find and mark as seen (or read). This is annoying to a person with OCD.
