It works, but only when the screen is on all the time. It is not true, it works with the screen off in sleep mode. App also doesn’t work in the background. So that’s not true what developers say.
And asking 9.99 per month (!) for such a not fully functional app is a joke. Poor joke of greedy bastardos.

I just downloaded and turned it on and noticed the squirrels apparently went away? Not sure if it’s because of the app. Does it stay on when using other apps with sound - like when watching a downloaded movie?
Banging on the wall works better
I hear mice in my wall and standing with my phone next to the wall with the app running and nothing stopped after 20 min which is when I started banging on the all
