Total scam company, app doesn’t work, no one answers phones, total waste of money

Not for homeowners

I purchased a heat pump water heater from A.O. Smith, where they stated that the homeowner would be able to download this app and schedule. Sadly, after hours on the web, where there is an astonishing absence of information on this product, it just doesn’t seem to work. I have the device set up and linked in, but when you try to enter a schedule, it doesn’t save. You can’t send it to the device. Tried both on the app and on the web-based application. I don’t understand how this product can be out there and seemingly have no reviews, no YouTube videos on how to use, and even when struggling through it and seeming like what you’re entering should be working, it doesn’t work. I have another water heater brand that uses a proprietary app from the company and it’s is flawless. If you’re looking to use this with this type of water heater, and are a homeowner, thinking, you can do this yourself, would look for another brand.

A great product that is easy to use

I have been a customer since around 2011 and have loved that this app. My wife likes it since she can adjust the temperature when we travel, so that the house A/C starts cooling an hour before we get home.

The website side allows you to access the programs and also set points for high and low alarms. Also you can srtup groups if you have more than one facility or thermostat to check temperature and adjust.

Any time you have a problem with the website, app or equipment, you talk to the owner of this company, not some third party call center.

I looked at different apps that can control the 3M/Filtrate wifi thermostats and the different thermostats that can be remotely controlled. The 3M units are easy to set up and bulletproof when it comes to a novice just wanting to use this app to control the unit and other equipment that can be controlled.
